Hawaii Standards DatabaseThe Hawaii Standards Database has a host of resources that can help you and your colleagues become more informed about the Common Core State Standards. The resources provided include (but are not limited to); example Power Point presentaions that can be used to introduce the CCSS, curriculum mapping documents, performance task examples, text complexity rubrics/resources, and classroom video episodes. Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium Factsheet for TeachersThe Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) is the testing group that Michigan has joined. This fact sheet provides teachers with a basic overview of the SBAC. AchieveThe Achieve website provides many implementation tools and resources, as well as links to additional resources. Resources include (but are not limited to); CCSS comparison documents to well-respected international standards, fact sheets, dialogue guides, and Common Core implementation rubrics and self-assessments. (Note: Achieve is partnering with PARCC, the other CCSS assessment consortium. Many of the resources provided are aligned with PARCC assessments, however could still be insightful for you and your colleagues.)
The Teaching ChannelThe Teaching Channel offers over 200 ELA videos tagged as, "Common Core." These videos can provide media for introduction presentations or extra support for particular standards or lessons. Consider reviewing these videos or even contributing videos of your own. Utah Education NetworkThe Utah Education Network has a variety of resources available to teachers for introducing the Common Core. The resources include (but are not limited to); Power Points on transitioning to the CCSS, example letters to parents regarding the CCSS, frequently asked question documents, and ELA specific videos (ex; "How will the Common Core Change the Expectations for Students)
One Teacher's ThoughtsThis link will take you to a high school teacher's personal blog about the Common Core. The teacher that manages this site does a nice job unpacking the anchor standards of the Common Core. He does so in a friendly, light-hearted, easy-to-read way. In addition to unpacking the anchor standards in Reading, Writing, Speaking & Listening, and Language, the host of the site also provides resources and articles that will help you familiarize yourself and others with the CCSS.

Public Schools of North Carolina CCSS Support MaterialsThe Public Schools of North Carolina Accountability and Curriculum Reform Effort share a wide range of resources on their site. The resources provided include (but are not limited to); unpacking documents for the CCSS, progression documents (K-12), text exemplars (including links to free digital resources), and graphic organizers for higher-order thinking.
Common Core State Standards OregonThe State of Oregon CCSS website provides a variety of resources on their site. The resources shared include (but are not limited to); video modules for introducing the CCSS to teachers, a CCSS needs assessment, a guide for creating questions for close analytic reading, and CCSS alignment documents for foreign languages. The State of Oregon also provides a toolkit that provides resources for parents, teachers, students, school board members, community members. The Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD)The ASCD offers a range of FREE Common Core webinars on their website. The webinar topics include (but are not limited to); differentiation and the CCSS, a principal's role in the CCSS, text complexity, assessment shifts, and CCSS 101.
Edutopia- Linda Darling HammonThis video discusses America becoming internationally competitive. In doing so, the video provides viewers with insight to why the Common Core is necessary. Linda Darling Hammond, of Standford University, a key partner in the writing of the ELA CCSS and assessments stars in the video. Department of Education for the State of MaineThe DOE website for the State of Maine has 3 modules for Common Core introduction, alignment, and implementation. The resources within these modules include (but are not limited to); progression documents, concept organizers, webinars, depth of knowledge and text complexity tools.
